Balance and Fall Prevention Program

Recognize and diminish symptoms of dizziness and feelings of imbalance.

Do you have patients who have fallen more than once in the past year, or feel unsteadly when they are walking or cllimbing stairs? Falling is not a typical aspect of growing older. In fact, most falls are preventable. By making a few adjustments, your patients or family members can reduce their chances of a fall.

One out of five falls causes a serious injury such as broken bones or a head injury.

CDC Home & Recreational Safety

Over 50% of falls occur within the home. Dimly lit rooms and loose area rugs are common factors in those incidents, so Horizon Rehabilitation offers a household evaluation to help create the safest environment possible for your patients or family members.

With our treatment plan, Horizon patients enjoy on average, a 106% increase in dynamic balance with with 90% of balance goals achieved and a 57% increase in static balance.
