Biomechanical Orthotics
The active times of the year like Spring and Summer can really add pressure to our feet. Poor biomechanics can be debilitating, causing chronic pain and impacting quality of life. Fortunately, physical therapists can alter patients’ biomechanics to function more efficiently. Custom orthotics are a common treatment that can be specifically designed for the needs of each patient, as well as individual feet. The nature of the design of the orthotic is to accommodate these issues while allowing the foot to function in a more neutral and proper position.
Say Goodbye to Foot Pain
Relief is obtainable with proper physical therapy. If left untreated, excessive stress can occur within the ankle, or up above the joints of the knee, hip, and pelvis. It’s important to address the issue right away to avoid potential long term injury. Some conditions that will benefit from orthotics include:
- Arthritis
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Heel & Arch Pain
- Bunions
- Tendonitis or Tendon Dysfunction
- Other Deformities or Gait Abnormalities
- Hip or Knee Pain related to the foot issues
Do not hesitate to contact Marty Kerr at Horizon Rehabilitation if you are experiencing any varying degree of foot and/or ankle pain.
